The Director at our Stafford location is a professional educator who holds a degree in Education and has presented many training workshops on preschool education. Prior to becoming our full time administrator, she taught preschool and has acquired first-hand experience working with and understanding preschool aged children.

All our caring teachers are professionally trained in child development and early childhood education. Many hold a bachelor’s degree and/or a CDA (Child Development Associate) degree. All have worked extensively with children and express genuine concern for your child’s intellectual, social and emotional growth.

All staff members continue to upgrade their professional knowledge through workshops and advanced education courses. All staff have all been carefully screened for excellence as well as their commitment to children’s well-being. Each staff member has also been screened through the Department of Social Services and the Virginia Police Department.

Teachers and Directors are always available to answer any questions or concern you may have. Teacher/Parent conferences are regularly scheduled during the school year.

Preschool Program

Adventure Bay Early Learning Center has been specifically designed for young children. Our free-standing building in Stafford is air-conditioned and shaded for your child’s comfort during the summer and comfortably heated during the winter months. Each bright, happy classroom contains child-scaled tables, chairs, cubbies and cabinets as well as individual bathrooms. Interest centers are filled with the finest available educational toys and learning materials.

From the "tiny town" to the specially-designed play modules, our colorful outdoor playground stirs the imagination. The park-like setting provides a peaceful, safe harbor for your child.

Our snug Pre-Reading Room provides readiness games and special materials to enhance your child’s pre-reading skills through play-based activities.

Our large, separate indoor Gymnasium contains exciting and inviting equipment. Your child will appreciate the scaled-down basketball nets, tumbling mats, balance beam, ribbon sticks, scooters, soccer equipment, parachute and lots more.

Our Kitchen Classroom becomes a science and math class for measuring, sorting, mixing and sampling the final product.

Our ten computers and extensive library collection of age-appropriate children’s books are located in our Media Center, along with a VCR and video collection for viewing educational programs, when appropriate. Our individualized Listening Center allows your child to listen and "read" along with their favorite book.

Our preschool program is available for 12-month olds thru Kindergarten and includes: Beginners Preschool for 12 months to 3 years, Preschool for 3 to 4-year olds, and Pre-Kindergarten for 4 to 5-year olds.

Parents have a choice of 2, 3 or 5-day programs for half or full days.

A three-hour program is available for children 2 years old and younger. Extended day programs are also available for working parents.

The Leader in Before School & After School Care…

Our top notch Before/After School program gives your grade school aged children the opportunity to spend quality learning and play time with peers.

Working parents with school aged children will appreciate the convenience of our Before and After School program. Adventure Bay Early Learning Center opens its doors at 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and provides safe and reliable transportation to and from local elementary schools.

While enrolled in our Before and/or After School program, your child will enjoy the benefits of receiving a healthful breakfast and snack, quality homework help, gym/play time to enjoy with their peers, use of our state of the art computer lab, library/story time, arts & crafts, and much, much more.
